Outreach

DO: Donegal Presbyterian Church Logo

If you want to understand our church’s outreach efforts to the local community and beyond, look no further than our “logo”. Simply put, we “DO”. The “DO” also stands for “Donegal Outreach”. And with the Presbyterian Church (USA) cross within the “O” also representing a “T”, you have the symbol of our “Donegal Outreach Team”. When you see someone wearing this logo on their shirt, you know they’re from Donegal and you know that they love their neighbor through acts of service.

Donegal Outreach Mission Statement
To serve the community at large and within the Donegal Presbyterian Church in all seasons.

Outreach Team Invitation
The Outreach Team invites and welcomes any member of the congregation to join us in any or all efforts. Congregants are urged to choose what best fits with their individual time and talents. We extend our Christianity beyond the walls of our “little church with a big heart.”

Local Outreach
Donegal Presbyterian Church doesn’t just worship together. We look beyond our historic church walls and actively engage with our surrounding communities through acts of service. The Donegal congregation  supports the East Donegal-Conoy Food Bank, Hands Across the Street in Columbia, PA, the Friends of Donegal, Church World Services, Servants Inc., and ECHOS.

Mission Trip
In addition to our local outreach efforts, Donegal Presbyterian Church has partnered with Ministries in the North Country (MiNC, The Presbytery of Northern New York) for more than 20 years to perform rural construction and rehabilitation services to families in Northern New York. More than one third of our congregation has participated in this annual mission trip, providing more than 8,400 hours of work on job sites ranging from
metal & shingle roofs, insulation & siding, skirting, framing, dry walling, painting, plumbing, and much more.
