PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN

Presbyterian Women is a Presbyterian national church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women who wish to be supportive in any way. Our local organization holds monthly meetings with different topics and formats... book discussions, lectures, Bible study, fund raisers, etc.

Part of our charter is to support the missions of our church locally and PW around the world. Some of our activities involve helping with  Fat Sunday Pancake Dinner, Tea and Tour event, Memorial Receptions, Fellowship time each Sunday, Christmas Shoebox, New Garments Always, and local food bank.  Local mission work that we donate money include; Camp Donegal, Donegal Church Mission Tour, Columbia's Hands Across The Street, and Mount Joy Helping Services. Churchwide we donate money to PW Thank Offering, PW Misison Pledge, Church World Service's Blanket Program & Tools of Hope, PW Birthday Offering and the PW's Least Coin. Most of all, we enjoy fellowship and build relationships with one another by having fun and learning together.

CHRISTMAS MARKET MIXER- 2016

                  CHRISTMAS MARKET MINUTE

ALL THE LATEST!

Hi folks!  Christmas is fast approaching, and Donegal’s Christmas Market is even closer.  December 3!  Hope the following information is helpful.

WORKSHOPS – Our recent Christmas Cracker Workshop was a fun and productive event.  These unique holiday-tradition-setting items turned out so well that we’re eager for our congregation and outside shoppers to see them!  We may have additional workshops pop-up as opportunities arise, so please look and listen for more information over the next few weeks.

YOUR HANDMADE PRODUCTS – If at all possible, please bring them to the church by November 13.  This will give us time to price your items, and plan for how they will be displayed on Market Day. If they can’t be completed by then, but you know they’ll be ready for the Market, please let Kristi know so we have a good idea of our wealth of offerings!

Important: Don’t forget to attach your name to your items!  There is shelving space in the “counting room” across from the nursery.

YOUR “BE-THERE” HELP – Two important needs:
1.   Set up Thursday and Friday evenings December 1 & 2.
2.   Help at the Market on Saturday, which will be approximately
2-1/2 hour shifts beginning at 9:00 a.m.

We’ll have sign-up sheets available for all three days, so please sign up when you are able to be there.

We can’t wait to see the “fruit (and culinary creations) of your labor!”

CHRISTMAS MARKET MINUTE – GOODIE VERSION

Speaking of food, our Goodie Table needs YOU to make it a success! Please drop off your HOMEMADE cookies, candies, biscotti, small loaves of breads, pies, jellies, canned fruit or veggies - or other delicious delights - on Thursday December 1 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. or Friday December 2 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

You are welcome to package your food items, or we can do it for you. If you need ideas of what to make or have any questions, please contact Pat Garrigan at psg206@hotmail.com or 717-808-2120.

Thank you for supporting our Sale of Fair Trade Coffee!

Profits from these sales not only go to small-scale farmers, but Equal Exchange also donates a portion of our sales to the Presbyterian Hunger Program. Since we purchase the coffee thru the interfaith program, we can offer you the coffee at a price lower than you will find fair trade coffee in the grocery store!  Check out our new flavors at the coffee stand in Fellowship Hall!

Please consider purchasing your Fair Trade coffee by the case!  Cases contain 6 – 12 oz packs of coffee, and are a great value!

Profits from these sales not only go to small scale farmers, but Equal Exchange also donates a portion of our sales to the Presbyterian Hunger Program.

Any questions or requests for purchase of a case of coffee, please see or call Pat Garrigan at 367-2659.
