EGYPT

Joseph’s Journey

From prison to palace

Thank you, thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped to make our journey to Egypt for VBS a success…it couldn’t have been accomplished without all your support, help, contributions and prayers.

The 22 kids who traveled back in time to visit ancient Egypt and learn about Joseph had a great time…they learned life lessons from Joseph and his adventures, experienced artisan skills such as making bricks and jeweled collars, embalming secrets and other crafts in the marketplace, dined Nile-style with crocodile kabobs (tastes like chicken) and lentil soup and played Pyramid Playground games.  Everyone even got their Egyptian make-up done!

Whether you were a Family Leader, Family Assistant, Merchant, actor, set decorator/tent-installer, painter, chef, table mover or anything else we have failed to mention—every job was important and when combined made everything come together.  We make a great team!

Our mission was to bring the Bible and the world of Joseph to life for our kids…judging by the smiling faces last Saturday afternoon, we think that we succeeded.
