Donegal Fishing Derby

Every year in the spring, Donegal Presbyterian Church and the Donegal Fish & Conservation Association sponsor a youth fishing derby in our spring pond. The spring at Donegal Church is the headwater to Donegal Creek and one of the primary reasons for the Church's location. Much of the creek is "Fly Fishing Only" and the top end, including the Church property is a protected "No Fishing" propagation area. For one morning per year, the pond is open for junior anglers only. Admission is free, donations are greatly appreciated.

This year's Youth Fish Derby was held
April 10th, 2010, from 8-12 AM. The longest fish caught this year was a 19-incher! This is an annual event, where hot coffee, doughnuts, hot dogs and the like as refreshments are sold to benefit our mid-summer Mission Tour.
